DAY 1: WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26 — DEPART HOME CITIES

DAY 2: THURSDAY, AUGUST 27 — VENICE AIRPORT TO LJUBLJANA

Upon arrival at Venice Airport, meet your Tour Director and driver for a transfer directly to your hotel in Ljubljana (one bus ride) and a welcome drink. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour of Ljubljana, wandering its historic streets, crossing picturesque bridges, and discovering iconic landmarks with insights from a knowledgeable local guide. A round-trip funicular ride up to Ljubljana Castle is included, offering stunning panoramic views of the city. Evening at leisure for dinner on your own. Overnight in Ljubljana.

DAY 3: FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 — IN LJUBLJANA, PTUJ, AND ZALEC

After breakfast, drive to Ptuj, Slovenia’s oldest town. Wander through the medieval streets and visit the Ptuj Castle, perched above the town with panoramic views of the Drava River. Inside, explore the museum’s rich collections, including historical artifacts, traditional costumes, and regional treasures that tell the story of Ptuj’s fascinating past. Lunch is included in a local restaurant in Ptuj.

On the way back to Ljubljana, stop in Žalec for the Beer Fountain. The rest of the evening is free to visit Odprta Kuhna (Open Kitchen), Slovenia’s premier open-air food market on Pogačarjev Trg, a vibrant culinary hub every sunny Friday from March to October. Since its inception in 2013, it has become an integral part of Ljubljana’s liveliness and diverse cuisine. Vendors showcase a wide array of dishes, from traditional Slovenian fare to international street food, catering to all tastes and preferences. Overnight in Ljubljana. (B, L)

DAY 4: SATURDAY, AUGUST 29 — IN LJUBLJANA, DOLENJSKA REGION

Today, visit the Dolenjska region. Drive to Dolenjske Toplice with a stop in Visnja Gora to visit Hisa Kranjske Cebele (Bee Museum). Continue to the village of Raka to experience Cviček Hram, a unique wine heritage site celebrating the region’s famous cviček wine. Immerse yourself in local winemaking traditions, enjoy an engaging tasting session, and savor the flavors of this distinctive Dolenjska region wine. Return to Ljubljana with the rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight. (B, T)

DAY 5: SUNDAY, AUGUST 30 — IN LJUBLJANA AND POSTOJNA

Today we will visit the famous Postojna Caves, one of the world’s largest Karst natural wonders. Take a unique and adventurous ride with a special train to one of the most diverse cave systems in the world. Next, we visit Predjama Castle, a dramatic fortress built into a cliff with hidden chambers and fascinating legends. The day ends with an early dinner at local restaurant Morski Konjicek or sim, where we enjoy local cuisine and live entertainment (Trio Adio or sim). Return to Ljubljana and overnight. (B, D)

DAY 6: MONDAY, AUGUST 31 — FREE DAY IN LJUBLJANA

Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Ljubljana, taking the time to soak in the city’s charm at your own pace and shopping. Stroll along the scenic riverbanks, admire the picturesque bridges, and explore the historic streets and visit the many outdoor cafés and terraces to enjoy local coffee, pastries, or a refreshing drink while people-watching. Perhaps take a leisurely walk through Tivoli Park, or simply soak in the beauty of the city’s public spaces. Overnight in Ljubljana. (B)

DAY 7: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 — LJUBLJANA TO BLED

Depart from Ljubljana and travel to the enchanting town of Bled, nestled amid emerald waters and majestic alpine scenery. Take in the breathtaking views, explore the charming surroundings, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at leisure. (B)

DAY 8: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2 — EXPLORE BLED & RADOVLJICA

Start the day with a scenic Pletna boat ride to Bled Island and visit the charming island church (entrance included). Continue to Bled Castle, perched on a cliff with breathtaking views over Lake Bled. Enjoy free time to explore the lakeside at your leisure. In the late afternoon, travel to Radovljica for a tour of the Lectar Museum, learning about the region’s traditional gingerbread craft. End the day with a traditional dinner with entertainment at Gostilna Lectar before returning to Bled for an overnight. (B, D)

DAY 9: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 — EXPLORE BOHINJ

This morning, drive to Bohinj and enjoy the scenery. Take a cable car to Mt. Vogel and have a light lunch with a view at the restaurant Viharnik on Vogel. In the afternoon, return to Bled and your hotel. Overnight in Bled. (B, L)

DAY 10: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 — BLED, SVETA GORA, VRTOVIN TO PIRAN

After breakfast and check-out, depart for Slovenska Gora via Ljubljana. Stop at Sveta Gora, a historic pilgrimage site perched above the Vipava Valley, featuring a baroque church, Franciscan monastery, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Continue to Vrtovin for a visit and tasting at Winery Fervin, known for its excellent local wines. Then, drive to Piran for dinner on your own and an overnight stay. (B, T)

DAY 11: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 — IN PIRAN, LIPICA, AND TRIESTE

Depart from Piran and journey to the famous Lipica Stud Farm, home of the world-renowned Lipizzaner horses. Enjoy a guided tour of the stables and pastures, learning about the history, breeding traditions, and daily life of these majestic animals. Continue to Trieste. Upon arrival, free time to explore this beautiful city on your own. On your way back to Piran, stop in Koper and visit Lisjak, Olive Oil Farm for tasting. Included: Visit to cellar, welcome drink, tasting of olive oil, cold cuts. Drive back to Piran. The balance of the day at leisure. Overnight in Piran. (B, T)

DAY 12: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 — IN PIRAN, PONORAMIC BOAT CRUISE

This morning is at leisure, followed by a panoramic boat cruise along the Slovenian coast with live accordion music. After the boat ride, free time for lunch in Portorož. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant in the Piran Area. Overnight in Piran. (B, T, D)

DAY 13: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 — PIRAN TO VENICE AIRPORT

After breakfast, transfer in one group to the Venice airport. (B)
