Day 1: Arrival in Lisbon

Upon arrival in Lisbon, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: In Lisbon

Explore Lisbon at your own pace with a hop-on, hop-off city tour. Key stops include the historic center, Marquês de Pombal, Rossio, the monuments of Belém, and Basílica da Estrela. (B)

Day 3: In Lisbon

Enjoy a free day. Consider an optional full-day tour of Sintra and Cascais. (B)

Day 4: Lisbon → Coimbra

Transfer on your own to Lisbon Train Station and board your train to Coimbra. Upon arrival, transfer on your own to your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the old capital of Portugal with a hop-on, hop-off bus tour. (B)

Day 5: In Coimbra

A free day to relax and explore at your own pace. Consider an optional tour of UNESCO Heritage sites, such as Tomar “The Templar City,” Mata dos Sete Montes, or Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória. (B)

Day 6: Coimbra → Porto

After breakfast, transfer on your own to Coimbra Train Station and board a train to Porto. Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. (B)

Day 7: In Porto

Discover Porto’s historical highlights with a hop-on, hop-off city tour. Explore two routes covering Porto and the nearby beach towns of Vila Nova de Gaia and Matosinhos. Consider optional tours such as Aveiro & Costa Nova, Historic Douro, a Douro Wine Tour, or Santiago de Compostela. (B)

Day 8: Depart Porto

Your independent journey ends today. You will be transferred to Porto Airport. (B)
