Bled – An Alpine lake surrounded by the high peaks, Bled was discovered by tourists in the middle of the century, after a Swiss, Mr. Arnold Rikli, built a climatic health center. Since then, a small town of beautiful hotels, restaurants, villas has developed around the lake, turning Bled into a lively place all year round. For the winter, part from skating on the frozen surface of the lake, there are numerous ski runs in the neighborhood.
