Day 1 – Arrive in Zagreb
Upon arrival in Zagreb, Croatia’s Capital, pick-up your rental car and self-drive to your hotel. Your time is free to explore Zagreb on your own or to join an optional private walking tour or a private 4-hour walking & panoramic tour of Zagreb.
Day 2 – From Zagreb to Plitvice National Park
Today start your journey with a self-drive south to the magnificent Plitvice Lakes National Park and UNESCO world heritage site. Enjoy a private four-hour walking tourof the 16 terraced lakes. The rest of the day is free. (B)
Day 3 – From Plitvice National Park to Split
Today you drive to the coast to Split, the biggest town in Dalmatia and also a UNESCO world heritage site. (B)
Day 4 – In Split
Explore the vibrant Mediterranean town of Split with a private two-hour walking tour of Old Town. It includes a visit to the 1700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace cellars, see the Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the beautiful Cathedral of St. Duje. The rest of the day is free (B)
Day 5 – From Split to Dubrovnik
Today, you drive south along the Dalmatian coast to Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic. We suggest a stop in Makarska Riviera, or in Ston for lunch. The rest of the day is free to start exploring or for an optional tour. (B)
Day 6 – In Dubrovnik
This morning, meet your guide at old town entrance “Pile Gate” and start with a private two-hour walking tour of Old Town Dubrovnik. See the Rector’s Palace, the Bell Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column, and the Sponza Palace, as is the Dominican- and Franciscan Monasteries. After the tour, free time, perhaps take a walk on the ancient walls, or take the cable car for astonishing views over Dubrovnik. (B)
Day 7 – Departing Dubrovnik
Your independent journey ends today as you drive south to the Dubrovnik airport where you will drop off your rental car. (B)
