    Day 1: Arrive in Zagreb

    Upon arrival in Zagreb, Croatia’s capital, pick up your rental car and drive to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own or join an optional private walking tour or a four-hour private walking & panoramic tour of Zagreb.

     

    Day 2: Zagreb to Plitvice National Park

    Drive south to the magnificent Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a private four-hour walking tour of the 16 terraced lakes. The rest of the day is free to explore at your own pace. (B)

     

    Day 3: Plitvice National Park to Split

    Today, drive to the Dalmatian coast to Split, the largest city in the region and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The remainder of the day is free. (B)

     

    Day 4: In Split

    Explore Split’s historic Old Town with a private two-hour walking tour. Visit the 1700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace, including the cellars, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral of St. Duje. The rest of the day is free. (B)

     

    Day 5: Split to Dubrovnik

    Drive south along the stunning Dalmatian coast to Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic. Suggested stops along the way include Makarska Riviera or Ston for a seafood lunch. The rest of the day is free. (B)

     

    Day 6: In Dubrovnik

    Meet your guide at Pile Gate and begin a private two-hour walking tour of Old Town Dubrovnik. Highlights include Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column, Sponza Palace, and the Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries. After the tour, enjoy free time to walk the ancient city walls or take the cable car for breathtaking views over Dubrovnik. (B)

     

    Day 7: Depart from Dubrovnik

    Your independent journey ends today. Drive to Dubrovnik Airport and return your rental car. (B)
