Day 1 – Saturday: Split Arrival
You will be transferred from Split Airport to the port where embarkation begins at 2 pm. Get settled in your cabin before going on a walking tour of Split, the historical center of which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your tour departs at approximately 6 pm, visiting the seafront promenade and Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace. After returning to ship enjoy a Welcome reception followed by dinner. (WR, D)
Day 2 – Sunday: Split – Vis Island
In the morning set sail to Vis. Cruise towards the island of Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base, and restricted to the public. Due to this isolation, Vis has a special charm – “the Mediterranean as it once was” making it interesting to visit. Since the independence of Croatia, the island began opening slowly to the outside world. Some of Europe’s largest and greatest naval battles had happened in the waters of Vis. Vis Island holds many historic secrets and we will explore Vis history by military Land Rover Defenders. Overnight in one of the harbors on the island of Vis. (B, L)
Day 3 – Monday: Vis Island – Biševo – Hvar Island
Leaving Vis in the morning sail towards Biševo island to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon on the islet Biševo just in front of the town of Komiža. The possibility of our visit will depend on weather conditions; however, you will be notified of this on time. Afterward continue to the island of Hvar, take a swim break, and continue sailing through lunch, arriving at the island of Hvar this afternoon after disembarking you will be able to explore the city on your own and see many historical sights of the town, such as St Stephen’s Square and Cathedral, the Arsenal with the theatre built on its first floor, the first municipal theatre in Europe. Above Hvar Town is the impressive fortress Fortica offering magnificent views over the bay and Pakleni islands. Overnight in Hvar or Stari Grad. (B, L)
Day 4 – Tuesday: Hvar Island – Lastovo Nature Park
In the morning we are sailing and arriving in the afternoon in Lastovo, part of the Lastovo archipelago. Comprised of 46 islands, islets, rocks, and reefs, this Croatian nature park beckons you with its crystal clear waters and star-filled sky. We dock in the port of Ubli where you can enjoy free time to explore the natural beauty of the island or take a local taxi for a visit to a local winery to savor some indigenous wines on your own. Day 5 – Wednesday: Lastovo Nature Park – Korčula
Early in the morning we set sail for the island of Korčula, the best preserved medieval town, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Take a walking tour of Korčula which takes you through its narrow, cobbled streets full of history. The evening is free to explore the town on your own. (B, L)
Day 6 – Thursday: Korčula – Mljet National Park – Slano (Oyster Tasting)
In the morning head further south to the Island of Mljet. Join the Cruise Manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park. Alternatively, you can rent bicycles, scooters, or kayaks to explore the National Park and/or island on your own. After lunch, depart for a small village called Slano on the mainland. Slano is a peaceful fishermen’s village, and the starting point to Ston, situated on the Pelješac peninsula, a fortified small village famous for its oysters. Pelješac peninsula is known as one of the best wine-producing regions in Croatia. After exploring the town, we leave for a small nearby village to enjoy the authentic local oyster tasting. Tonight, enjoy Captain’s dinner and overnight in Slano. (B, L, T, CD)
Day 7 – Friday: Slano – Dubrovnik
Early morning cruise to the Elaphiti Islands and continue sailing to Dubrovnik. Before we moor at port, we cruise alongside the old city walls. After docking, join a guided tour at the historical center of Dubrovnik, and walk through Stradun, the most famous place inside the town walls, enlisted as UNESCO’s World Heritage site. Your guide will show you the most interesting sights of the Old Town and visit the Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy. After the city tour, you will be on your own to explore the city, walk the City Walls, the Rector’s Palace, and the Cathedral, or take a boat ride to Lokrum island or take the cable car to the top of Mount Srđ. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B, L)
Day 8 – Saturday: Dubrovnik Departure
After breakfast it’s time to disembark no later than 9:00h. You will be transferred to Dubrovnik airport. (B)
