  • Day 1, arrive in Prague, Sunday

    Upon arrival in Prague, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Then your time is free to begin exploring. Tonight, your Tour Director is hosting a Welcome Reception and will introduce you to your fellow travelers and to the fascinating tour that awaits you. (WD)

    Day 2, in Prague, Monday

    This morning tour the old part of the city to view the Old Town Square, the famous Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter, St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge and more. The remainder of the day is at leisure. (B)
    Optional tour: Visit of the Strahov monastery and its brewery

    Day 3, in Prague, Tuesday

    Cross the Vltava River to see the Royal Castle of Hradcany and visit the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, and the Golden Lane with the Daliborka Tower. The balance of the day is at leisure. (B)
    Optional tour: Dinner at the local restaurant with folklore performance

    Day 4, to Vienna, Wednesday

    Travel by motor-coach to Vienna, the “City of Waltz.” Your time is free to start discovering the city’s delights, from shopping to architecture to pastries. (B)
    Optional tour: Concert of Strauss’s & Mozart’s music

    Day 5, in Vienna, Thursday

    Start the day with a visit of St. Stephen’s Cathedral; then on to view Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, the UN Buildings, and the Hofburg Palace. The afternoon is at leisure. (B)
    Optional tour: Visit of the Schönbrunn with Apple Strudel Show

    Day 6, to Budapest, Friday

    Today, a journey to Budapest. The afternoon is free to explore the “Paris of the East”, shop along the Vaci Utca, nibble a delicious slice of apple strudel, sip an excellent Hungarian wine. (B)

    Day 7, in Budapest, Saturday

    Your morning sightseeing tour includes views of all the main attractions: The Parliament, Royal Palace, and the Castle Hill area, Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, Heroes’ Square, and Gellert Hill with its Citadel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this exciting city on your own. In the evening, join your fellow travelers and your Tour Director for the Farewell Dinner with Csarda folk dance. (B, D)

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
